Biome Browser

The part no other RTP plugin does properly. DexRTP reads your world border, samples a grid inside it, and builds a menu of the biomes that actually exist — with a real, safe spot already known for each.

How it works

1
ScanOn startup (when there's no cache) the plugin walks a grid over everything inside the border and records the biome at each point — plus a second sample deep underground so Lush Caves, Dripstone Caves and the Deep Dark are found.
2
VerifyEach point is only kept if a player could stand there. A biome with no safe spot never reaches the menu.
3
TeleportClicking a biome picks a stored spot, jitters it, finds a safe block and double-checks the landing biome before moving you.
4
Self-healIf the world changes and every spot for a biome stops working, that biome is dropped from the index automatically.

Turning it on and off

biome-menu:
enabled: true # false = plain RTP, no second screen
auto-discover: true # new / custom-generator biomes show up on their own
  dimensions:
    overworld:
      enabled: true
      destination: overworld
      permission: ''
    nether:
      enabled: true
    end:
      enabled: true

Every biome has its own switch in biomes.yml:

overworld:
  cherry_grove:
    enabled: true
    display: 'Cherry Grove'
    icon: CHERRY_SAPLING
  deep_dark:
    enabled: false
    display: 'Deep Dark'
    icon: SCULK
underground: true # scan down for an air pocket, not the surface
◆

Oceans and rivers ship disabled — there's nothing to stand on.

Scan settings

  scan:
    on-startup: true
step: 160 # one sample every N blocks
generate-chunks: false # only read terrain that already exists
samples-per-tick: 12 # lower if the scan is noticeable
    max-points-per-biome: 48
    cave-sample-y: -16 # 0 skips cave biomes
    verify-landing: true
    refresh-hours: 0 # 0 = cache never expires
  teleport:
    jitter: 64
    verify: true
    tries: 12

Results are cached in biome-cache.yml, so a restart isn't a rescan. After a world reset run /dexrtp scan.

Search box

input:
mode: dialog # Java 1.21.6+: dialog | sign | chat
  bedrock-mode: form # Bedrock & older Java: form | sign | chat

Without Floodgate, form falls back to the sign editor, then chat — the feature degrades, never breaks.
